Because she is epic.

Really, this comic was the only thing that kept this whole week from being in the toilet. Kept me creating this week, too.

So I made a tribute.

I don't know wtf Sherlock is wearing, it certainly isn't punk. I am a twit, but at least Lestrade looks nice.

OMG Rough Trade! XD I miss the Lock Markets too...they seem to have recovered from that fire quite quickly.

Can you link me to your fill? Would love to read it. Sleep is unproductive :D

Not posted yet; still lacking approval from my Indie beta! (She objects to the rom-com Reading Festival ending and my names for the rival groups, Dickensian Beauties vs. Dickensian Cheek.)

Basically, Lestrade is the Mick Jones-esqe producer (comparing Sherlock and John to himself and Gregson "But hasn't Gregson been in a coma in a Swiss clinic since 1985?") and Mycroft the Alan McGee-type manager (hedging his bets on which splinter group to sign.)

I picked up the Neil Taylor book "Document and Eyewitnesses, An Intimate History of Rough Trade" but haven't had chance to read it yet. Have you read it?

There's a book??? :D *POUNCES*

Thanks for that! Between London The Biography, your fic, [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller's Neal-and-Sherlock sequel and this book, I have my reading list all sewn up :D

The Ackroyd? I'm halfway through that at the moment!!! (I'm also reading his one on Blake at the same time. "Woman, get me my engraving tools," was very briefly my catchphrase.)

Meant to ask, have you read this one, where Sherlock and John have to get the Libertines back together, reluctantly aided by Adam Green?

Wait, that's YOU!!!!!!!!!! With the Mycroft Poppins, and... Omg, you are a genius. Wasn't it you who did the one where Sherlock's a fashion editor?

Thanks! Yeah. And the sequel. And that's got a sequel. Genius - hardly. (It's just, you wouldn't believe how bored I get at work. I plan out fics as I walk there and back and type them up at lunchtimes. It's what keeps me going. Well, that and drink.)

Indie band AU fill finally up, too late for comp as LJ was bonkers yesterday (spirit willing, flesh weak, etc.) and I couldn't post it in time.
Be warned it's COMPLETE crack!fic (and was cut in half by my beta, but I'll finish it, the NME Radar tour finale, if anyone's interested.

(The Rough Trade book is quite good, a real kick down memory lane.)
