Finally got around to Pompeii in History of Art. Dr Tidman spoke about the rest of Pompeii, that larger part which hasn't been unearthed yet, and the various reasons why: preservation, lack of funds, not done finding out about the rest of it, etc. Took some pleasure thinking about some of the town still unmarred by tourists or excavators. It reminded me of Euspasia in Invisible Cities*: "...they say that in the twin cities there is no longer any way of knowing who is alive and who is dead."

So I was inspired enough to do a few little fripperies of my own.

*I really want to categorise the cities, just for my own OC pleasure (but also for the upcoming Senior Design Project). Must remember to post that here when I do it.

...part 1. Photoshop is acting up, so it'll be a while before I can edit and upload the rest. My favorites are the bath pictures, of course; I love those dust mote things that look like floating spirits.
