(and of course that pairing order is intentional.)

If you guys remember this post, I kind of helplessly ship Diana/Steve, otherwise known as Wonder Woman/Captain America. Other people seem to like this idea, so I am now doing a fan comic.

[profile] lyrakristine pointed out that I had gotten their heights wrong in the first illustration, so I drew a height comparison chart and everything! This one is pretty long; if it's too long for your journal format, the original is here: http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/pere_chan/881435/64449/64449_original.jpg

Relative heights, from left to right:
Steve - 6'4" (I'm still getting him wrong; he should be broader)
Clark - 6'2"
Bruce Wayne - 6'2" (with ears: 6'5")
Diana - 6'
Thor - 6'6"
Tony - 5'10" (without armour). Keep in mind I think of Tony Stark as taller than Robert Downey Jr.
Tony (Iron Man) - 6'
Bruce Banner - 5'10"
Clint - 5'8" (or 5'7", I haven't decided)
Coulson - 5'9"
Natasha - 5'5"
Hulk - 10 ft

Some Tony sketches, without reference. This look changed a lot in the actual comic.

Diana being gymnastic; very fun to draw. Partly inked.

Some more panels that were fun to draw. Oh, Steve.

I love those height sketches. (Mostly, I love that Clint and Coulson are normal-people-sized, and it makes me suddenly realise how freakishly tallt eh super-powered beings are.)

I really liked the movement in the Diana-being-gymnastic pic. That's very cool.

And, hee, dance halls!

Normal-people-sized! That's it exactly! Of course my bar for 'normal' size is skewed, as I am 5 inches shorter than the shortest Avenger. And have no waif-fu to make up for it.

I'm 5'4", so girls at 5'5" and guys at 5'8" seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I also just realised that Clint and Nat are standing in the exact same pose. *smacks forehead* They teach them that at SHIELD, she prevaricates frantically. Coulson doesn't have to do it because he doesn't wear a skintight suit.

Hee! I bet it's an unofficial stance, that Clint was feeling self-conscious suddenly stuck in a skin-tight suit and Nat had to teach him the most forgiving/most flattering ways to stand.

Thank you! That gives me the warm fuzzies...which I need in this weather.
