Scotland's independence?

Is this a good thing or a bad? It seems like a lot of work, what with sorting out the governments, changing budgets, creating a new parliament, registering Scotland for EU, drawing up all sorts of new border rules &c. What about the Queen? Will there be an arrangement a la Australia and Canada? What will we name the no longer United Kingdom?

The worst bit is, all I can think about is the wild notion of the Scots tearing themselves free of the British yoke to plunge headlong back into the world of clans and kilts and lairds and long hair. In my head I see tall red-haired lads striding along the grey streets, sword on one hip, dagger on the other, sgian dhu hidden in knee socks and...*hyperventilates*

I REALLY REALLY REALLY need to stop reading Diana Gabaldon. CLEARLY she is capable of fully unhinging the mind.

On a side note, I also just discovered she lives in Scottsdale (bwah), Arizona. DAMN MY EYES I WAS ONLY TWO HOURS AWAY FROM THERE LAST MONTH. WHY DON'T PEOPLE TELL ME THESE THINGS.

Scotland has wanted independence since Roman times, but the mean olde English wouldn't give it to them. They even made kilts illegal for a while after the Jacobite uprising under Bonny Prince Charlie. The Scots are apparently still cranky about it.

XD Oh actually i still have my horde of manga downloads from back in 2005, and I still read them. But I've been craving for new things, and since teh releases for Demian syndrome took too slow, I fell in a 2 year slump XD

Demian Syndrome T_T I wantses.. When my card limit goes up, I will so freaking buy all the books online, even if I have to re-study my japanese to understand it!
