More Underground comedy
Nov. 22nd, 2005 12:02 pmUnderground Station Manager: "This is a customer announcement. Trains on the Central line will be delayed for some minutes because of a fight at Bond Street. We apologise for the delay."
Driver: "As my colleague has just noted, the line is delayed because of some muppets having a punch-up at Bond Street. We're sorry to report that we're stuck here until these Neanderthals are removed by the Metropolitan Police..." pauses as the passengers chuckle skeptically, "who as we know quite well will respond with their usual *coughsnicker* lightning speed. I wish we were actually there to see the fight, as British bare-knuckle fighting is quite entertaining, but we'll have to wait until the body count has been tallied and the idiots dragged away before we can all go home, which would be--" in a long-suffering tone "--marvelous."
