interesting note for yaoi fans (and girls with gay friends)

Jacob of Television Without Pity talks about gay boys being the "ponies" (read: objects of fascination and occasionally possessiveness) for tweenie girls, which explains so much about many yaoi fans of that age.

( I think at this point, culturally, where we are with the gays is a sort of in-between place where it's okay as long as they're small enough to put in our pocket, and their dicks are imaginary. )

I can't believe I found this on a recap of Gossip Girl. This has to be one of my favourite sites ever.
