Sleep No More

Immersive theatre. What does that mean? All I knew going in was that it meant a lot of walking, mandatory coat check ('nothing hanging off your body', said the polite but insistent ushers) and an ID inspection at the entrance queue. The rest was a weird but thrilling surprise.

New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down by

jeannedecarnin. Inception, Arthur/Eames. Lonely Christmas pr0n set in New York.

I really have to do something with all my memories of being lonely in famous cities. Like the time I stormed out of the dorm at 1.30am to march down Bedford Place and Great Russell Street all the way down Oxford Street almost to Marble Arch before I ran out of steam. Or hearing the bells of Venice all ring at midnight. Everyone has moments like this--why can't I turn them into decent fanfic or comics like a normal person?

I am having the most clichéd New York experience ever. Third of five days, midnight, laptop on my belly, in my uncle's loft flat one block away from Broadway. It's raining really hard, wind and all smacking against the window and skylight. Every now and then sirens go screaming or moaning by.

It's so great; wish I had more time here. Best Christmas present I can think of.
