milking this thing for all it's worth
Catch As Catch Can is finally up on AO3 as I gave up illustrating it. Dedication and consistency, I do not know what these words mean. Sigh.
Annnnnnnd in the comments someone completely called me on the Propofol thing. Damn, damn, damn. I knew going in that I should never have gotten so specific about the drugs, seeing as I didn't know crap about them. But Sherlock is so much smarter than me that it's constantly a fine line between piling on detail that I figure he would know or notice, and merely hinting at the vast reserves of knowledge he has on subjects which leave me utterly in the dark. And the anaesthetic was one plot hole just screaming to be noticed.
Fortunately my betas spotted the other gaping errors: TV shows, timelines, locations &c, as well as simple but missable things like my weird habit of using words like 'behooved' in what I fondly believe is normal conversation.
Which partly explains why my ficcing is so sporadic. But having spat this out there's been nothing but silence from the place where fic comes from (I've given up believing in a Muse).
In related news I haven't drawn anything since about May, except for a brief flurry of ink-sploshing to make a birthday present for my Mum in July. I keep getting these flashes of ideas, but nothing ever comes of them. I feel all dried-up inside.
