keeping busy

My cousin arrived today; am no longer master of the house *pout*

Have been in some weird creative frenzy the past couple of days. Possibly has to do with jetlag--am up every day at around 5 to 7 am, which would be fine in a country whose sunrise is 5 am, not 8. =_= So am doing the worst thing advisable when living in a closed-up winter house. Oil painting!

Now my half of the house is high with white spirit and turpentine, which I don't mind because I have discovered several fun things. One is how to create the illusion of beams of light in deep water--very easy, but delivers a striking effect. The other is that when mixed with a LOT of white spirit, the paint runs down the canvas and gives the surface a very interesting crumbly look, nice for collages. Now to hunt up my gold leaf.

Lovely photos. It always surprises me more people don't take photos from 'planes...the first time I travelled that way I saw most of the views through a camera lens.

Ooh, I'd love to see those. ^_^ I think the reason I didn't do it sooner was that I've always had inferior cameras. I could never be sure they wouldn't focus on the glass or the wing instead of the scenery. XD

Hey you. Thanks for the birthday wishes! I meant to ask for you address so I could send you a Chrissy card but then you were in the Phils! Also if by some miracle I manage a round the world ticket with 5 stops can I stop by you (Hee hee) and crash on your couch someday?

Was in Bacolod for most of it; Cebu for two days. Only had a few hours in Manila as I arrived at 1 am and left at 9 XD Got to see angelthorn though! I wanted to see you and chockwit and everybody else though :(
