Took a break yesterday to show some freshman American girls (a classmate and her friends) around Chinatown and Covent Garden. Found some relatively cheap vintage stores and accessory shops I hadn't noticed before. Nice to run around in someone else's world for a while--you find out useful things.

Broke down and made a community for the thesis: imi_nashi. So many people on my flist are better-educated than me on the subject, and yet the only LJ I've found on the study of yaoi is yaoi_research, which is a personal journal by someone researching the American yaoi fandom. So hopefully someone will come and play with me...^_^

All thesis-related stuff will now go on this community. It's friends-only as well, just in case. (Is that wrong? Should I unlock it? Argh, am so unaccustomed to this...)

unlock it....after your thesis is turned in. unless after that you feel you want to take the subject even further.

Hmm, yes. Good idea. I'll definitely unlock it after I get the final draft done. ^_^
