  • 16:14 The thing about reading classic books about travelling in Asia is how annoying they are for an Asian to read. XD #
  • 17:57 Kipling, for all that he's such a product of his time, puts me off less with Kim than Lewis does with Narnia or Tolkien with Middle-Earth. #

  • 18:09 Kipling is much less racist in Kim, maybe because he deals with India and Tibet, where he actually lived. He's quite vicious about the US! #
  • 21:15 My grandmother moved ALL MY ARTBOOKS into the other room, and so instead of working on the portfolio I get to move them all back. Sigh. #
  • 22:45 I need to practice digital work. I want to be at least partly as comfortable with digital collage as I am with my stamps and bits of paper. #
